SB 816 Hearing to Abolish the Death Penalty in Missouri Extended Until Tuesday, January 26

The senate hearing on repealing the death penalty continues next week because of larger than expected turnout on the 19th. There is still time to make your voices heard.

MADP encourages you to attend an historic public hearing for Senate Bill (SB) 816, which would repeal Missouri’s death penalty—taking place at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, Jan. 26 in Senate Committee Hearing Room 1, on the 1st floor of the State Capitol in Jefferson City. This is the first time in our state’s modern history that a Republican-sponsored repeal measure has been brought before a Senate committee. SB 816, sponsored by Sen. Paul Wieland (R-Imperial) will be heard before the General Laws and Pensions Committee.
