Senate Hearing on Repealing the Death Penalty
MADP encourages you to attend an historic public hearing for Senate Bill (SB) 816, which would repeal Missouri’s death penalty—taking place at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, Jan. 19 in Senate Committee Hearing Room 1, on the 1st floor of the State Capitol in Jefferson City. This is the first time in our state’s modern history that a Republican-sponsored repeal measure has been brought before a Senate committee. SB 816, sponsored by Sen. Paul Wieland (R-Imperial) will be heard before the General Laws and Pensions Committee.
