About the event
The staff at Missourians for Alternatives to the Death penalty will hold monthly meetings to discuss the organizations strategy, legislative priorities, ways to help those most impacted, upcoming events, coalition work, and to further the work of abolition with a variety of stake holders across Missouri.
The task of the meetings are to listen, learn, and engage with a wide cross-section of death penalty abolitionists and leaders as possible. Over the past year, we have seen support of death penalty abolition rise tremendously and with many newly engaged citizens and legislators across the state, we want a place to cultivate our energy through education, discussion, and action.
We hope you can attend our first MADP Monthly Meet-up meeting January 22, at 12:30PM. Meetings will occur every fourth Friday of the month with topics including: death penalty legislation, our death row population, factors of the death penalty, prosecutorial reform, ways to stay involved, and so much more.
